District Court has imposed a fine of Rs 30, 00, on May 14, 2023, to a woman for filing a false report of rape and forced abortion of her 17-year-old daughter.
The bench of District Judge Harishchandra Ingnam provided the verdict regarding the false complaint. Balkishore Yadav, the lawyer of the accused Ramesh Kumar Sah, 21, of Municipality-11 Banauli, said that the court acquitted Sah after the victim became hostile.
The woman filed a complaint on October 23, 2022, stating that Sah had raped her daughter on June 19, 2022, and forced her to undergo an abortion. The victim said the accused had raped her in front of her farm. The victim underwent a medical examination on October 23, 2022, at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajviraj.
The Kalyanpur Area Police Office registered a complaint on October 25, 2022. The police arrested Sah on November 6, 2022. They filed a chargesheet against Sah in the District Court on November 30, 2022. District Judge Lalkaji Shrestha remanded Sah to judicial custody in Rajviraj Jail on December 2, 2022.
