Police arrested Bhagwati Yadav,20, of Rupni Rural Municipality-5 Basavitti, who is absconding in the rape incident of a 14-year-old girl, during his court appearance on May 2, 2023.
Yadav, accused by The bench of District Judge Shyam Vihari Maurya, has been remanded Yadav to pre-trial judicial custody.
The victim’s mother filed a complaint at the district police office on May 5, 2019, saying that the accused had raped her on May 4, 2019. The victim, a native of India, was staying at her aunt’s house.
After learning about the incident, the girl’s uncle took the accused into custody and tied him up at night. The accused escaped after villagers freed him on May 5, 2019.
The victim’s medical examination was done at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajviraj on May 5, 2019. The district police office registered a complaint on May 6, 2019.
