The aggrieved party filed a complaint, at the District Police Office, against an 80-year-old man accused of rape of his 12-year-old granddaughter at the district police office on April 21, 2023.
Inspector Dharmesh Yadav, of the District Police Office, said the man allegedly called the girl to his house on April 16 and raped her.
The medical examination of the victim girl was done on April 24, at Pashupati Memorial Hospital, Charikot.
Inspector Yadav said the police arrested the accused from his home on April 24.
