Police arrested Bishal Rana, 24, from Biruwa Rural Municipality-2, Syangha currently residing at Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-17, on 17 April, in the charge of rape of a 19-year-old woman.
Aggrieved party had filed a complaint at the area police office on 16 April 2023, alleging that the accused absconded after raping the victim on 12 August 2022.
As per the victim’s families, the accused came to victim’s home under the influence of an alcohol and raped her. The victim is 30 weeks pregnant at the moment.
DSP of the area police office, Butwal informed that the accused has been arrested based on the complaint filed and the investigation is underway.
Medical examination of the victim was conducted at Lumbini Provincial Hospital, on 26 March 2023.
