The Election Commission has provided public information regarding the implementation of the election code of conduct from implemented from 7 April 2023 in the three districts where the by-elections will be held.
The Election Commission has decided to implement the code of conduct for ministers, constitutional bodies, and members of the local executive in Chitwan, Bara, and Tanahun.
A by-election for the members of the House of Representatives in Bara-2, Chitwan-2, and Tanahun-1 will be held on 23 April.
According to the information provided by the Election Commission on the website, there are 33 candidates representing political parties and 36 independent candidates in the upcoming election.
