Bench of the District Judge Mohan Acharya rendered a verdict imposing 18 years of imprisonment to Binod Kumar Thing, 22, of Makwanpur Raksirai-5, on 22 February, in the charge of rape of a 14-year-old girl on 10 May 2022.
A complaint was filed against the accused at an area police office on 27 May, 2022. Medical examination of the victim was conducted at Bharatpur Hospital on the same day.
Accused was arrested on 27 May 2022.
Police had filed a complaint at the District Police Office on 20 June and the accused was remanded to the Judicial custody the same day.
