Surendra Bahadur Rai, 28, from Gaighat Municipality-7, Udaypur currently residing at Lalitpur Metropolitancity-28, Harisiddhi has been arrested by the police on January 9, in the charge of raping a 12-year-old girl.
Victim’s family filed the complaint at district police station on January 9 alleging that the accused allured her to marry him, took her to his home and raped her on January 7.
SP of the district police office, Prabin Pokharel informed that the accused has been arrested and the case is under investigation.
As per Dr. Rabi Shakya, health checkup of the victim was conducted at Patan hospital on January 9.
