Sundar Biswakarma, 45, the immediate formal provincial assembly member of Jitpur Simara sub-metropolitan city-4 Auraha tole, was arrested on the charge of violation of the election code of conduct. He was arrested on November 4 by the police of the area police office Simra. Biswakarma was accused of using a vehicle provided by the provincial government of Mades province for his election campaign.
According to the Chief District officer, the police were ordered to take control of the Scorpio vehicle, 2-02 001 Jha 0088, which was used by the immediate formal provincial assembly member of CPN-UML, Bara Constituency No. 4 (A), for his election campaign.
Last year in the Provincial Assembly, Bishwakarma was appointed as a whip of the United Socialist Party after which he was provided by a government vehicle. He failed to return the vehicle after the end of his tenure.
