The District Court of Saptari sentenced a 16-year-old boy to 18 days’ imprisonment on September 12 for sexually abusing two 16-year-old girls.
Judge Hemant Rawal’s bench decided to sentence the guilty minor to 18 days imprisonment and was also ordered to deposit NPR 5,000 as a fine.
Likewise, the verdict ordered the guilty to pay NPR 500 as compensation to the victim. He was also ordered to deposit NPR 200 in the relief fund for victims.
It was alleged that the minor entered the room of the twin girls (victims) through a broken ventilator and abused them while they were sleeping.
After hearing the cries of the victims, the villagers gathered and took the accused under control. He was beaten and handed over to the police on January 17, 2022.
The victim’s mother filed a complaint at the Kalyanpur Police Office on January 17, 2022.
The health examination of the victim was conducted at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajbiraj on January 21.
Judge Narayan Prasad Dahal’s bench released the accused minor on bail on February 3 and the chargesheet was filed in the district court on February 1, 2022.
