The Area Police Office of Mahendra Adarsh Chiutaha arrested Tulasi Hajara, 40, of Adarshkotwal Rural Municipality-2 Khajuria Tole on May 27, 2022, on the charge of attempting to rape a 35-year-old woman.
It is alleged that the accused tried to rape the victim while she was going to the toilet on May 27.
The victim lodged a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on May 28 and she is undergoing treatment at Kalaiya Hospital.
The second accused of the incident, Chhotelal Hajara, 32, has been absconding. He is also the resident of the same rural municipality.
The victim’s husband requested the INSEC district representative to take initiative for justice on May 28.
INSEC’s Bara district representative reached the District Police Office for supporting the victim in the incident. According to the Police, an investigation is ongoing regarding the incident.
