Two Nepali Congress cadres have been injured when CPN-Maoist cadres attacked them with a sharp weapon (Khukuri) at Gangadev Rural Municipality-5 on May 10.
Man Bahadur Budha, 30, and Kamal Budha, 20, were severely injured when a group of Maoist cadres Rajendra Pariyar, 26, Nawaraj Mahar, 27, and Prakash KC, 25, attacked them with a Khukuri.
Both the injured have been referred to Nepalgunj Medical College for treatment.
According to Inspector Thaman GC of the District Police Office, the incident took place after the two met while returning from a wedding party. A team of DSP Binod Ghimire of the District Police Office went to the spot for further investigation, said Inspector GC.
Police said that an investigation would be launched into the incident after the leaders of both parties arrived.
