CPN-UML has alleged that election campaign materials and vehicles of CPN-UML were vandalized in Devdaha Municipality-10 Charankhe on April 30, 2022.
Buddhimaya Gole and Som Bahadur Khadka told INSEC representative that the auto-rickshaw (Na 2 Ha 672) parked at the house of a local Buddhimaya Gole and a CPN-UML campaigning material pasted on the rickshaw was torn with a sharp weapon, likewise, Som Bahadur Khadka’s auto-rickshaw (Lu 1 Ha 2556) was also vandalized.
The CPN-UML Devdah Municipal Committee has beckoned the incident saying that the attack was well conspired and implemented at midnight.
According to Gole, a gathering was held at the house of a Congress leader’s house and immediately after the incident, the auto rickshaw parked at the house was vandalized by a sharp weapon after breaking the street lights.
According to CPN-UML’s ward chairman candidate for Devadaha Municipality-10, Man Kumar Kanauje Magar, the opposition parties had attacked with a fatalistic mentality. He had also lamented that it was unfortunate that voters and the public could not be guaranteed security even in the home district of Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand.
Inspector Puskar Singh Airi of the Ward Police Office, Ramnagar said that an investigation was ongoing into the incident.
According to the CPN-UML, Hari Pokhrel, leader of the Nepali Congress in Sainamaina Municipality, Shanti Baral, leader of the CPN-Maoist Centre and others tried to vandalize the CPN-UML vehicle used in the campaign and assault some cadres.
