Around 14 people have been injured in a clash between Nepali Congress and Maoist cadres at Litakot village in Tatopani rural municipality-3 of Jumla district on April 29.
The injured have been discharged after treatment at Karnali Health Sciences Academy Teaching Hospital, Jumla, said Constable Jagannath Khadka of the Hospital Police Unit. He said the injured suffered minor injuries. He was discharged after normal treatment. ‘
Among the injured are Shraman Pariyar, Janak Raj Khatri, Surya Pariyar, Bhairab Damai, Narendra Karki, Ammar Kathayat, Bharat Rawat and Bimala Rawat.
Similarly, Min Karki, Ramesh Rawal, Dinesh Khatri, Dharmaraj Rawal, Kamal Pariyar and Nawaraj Pariyar are on the Congress side, said Constable Khadka.
According to Ram Krishna Neupane of Nepali Congress, a clash broke out between the cadres of the two parties after the team of ward chairman candidate Dilli Rawal went to Bimala Damai’s house and pelted stones at her.
According to DSP Narendra Chand of District Police Office, Jumla, both the candidates have been arrested on April 29.
