Police have arrested Ram Bahadur Bharti, 31, of Chautara Sagachokgadhi Municipality-7 from Lalitpur Metropolitan-13 Kusunti on March 21, 2022 on the charge of gang-raping a 16-year-old girl.
According to SP Rajan Adhikari of the District Police Office, the accused Bharti was sent to judicial custody by the District Court on March 22 on the same day.
Three persons including the accused had gang-raped the girl on October 3, 2009.
The other two involved in the incident have already served their jail term of 10 years ordered by the court.
