The District Court of Palpa has declared 10 years of jail term to Sandesh Pariyar, 23, of Rambha Rural Municipality-3, Pipal Danda for raping a 17-year-old victim.
Shrestedar Durga Prasad Basyal informed that the verdict was given by District Judge Khadka Bahadur KC on January 2, 2022 and the guilty was also fined NPR 400,000.
The victim was raped on March 26, 2021 and the complaint was filed at the District Police Office on April 2, 2021. The health checkup of the victim was conducted at Palpa Hospital on April 2.
A case of rape was filed against the accused on April 27, 2021 at the District Court and the accused was remanded to judicial custody on the same day.
