Police have arrested a 52-year-old man on the charge of raping a seven-year-old girl. The accused was arrested on December 30.
According to Inspector Haribol KC of the District Police Office, the victim’s mother had lodged a complaint against the accused at the Area Police Office, Melamchi on December 26 alleging that he had raped the girl on December 5.
According to Inspector KC, the victim was taken to Melamchi Primary Health Centre on December 26.
The accused has been remanded to custody at the Area Police Office, Melamchi for five days after the order of the district court.
