Update of August 13 Regarding COVID-19 Infection

The number of COVID-19 infected people has reached 728,532 after additional 2,763 new cases were detected positive in Nepal on August 13, 2021. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 679,495 of the total infected have recovered, and the recovery rate has reached 93.3% along with the 2,118 latest recovered.

According to the Ministry, 11,708 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Out of the total number of tests conducted on August 13, 24% were diagnosed positive and overall there were 19.5% people diagnosed positive till now.

Till now, the death toll has reached 10,239. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 27 people died on August 13. There are 38,798 in isolation. Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Kavrepalanchok, Sindhupalchowk, Dolakha, Nuwakot, Nawalparasi East, Baglung, Kaski, Gorkha, Syangja, Tanahu, Rupandehi, and Surkhet have more than 500 active cases.
