Buddhi Bahadur Kisan, 33, of Mangala Rural Municipality-1, has been sentenced to 20 years jail term for raping a 13-year-old girl.
A bench of District Court Judge Tej Narayan Poudel of Myagdi declared him guilty and sentenced him to 20 years’ imprisonment and a fined NRs 40,000, said Prakash Koirala, Public Prosecutor of District Attorney Office.
The victim had lodged a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office, Myagdi on August 14, 2020, alleging him of raping her on August 4, 2020.
After the victim’s complaint, the police arrested the accused on August 19 and registered a case against him in the District Court, Myagdi on September 13.
