Sanjay Kumar Karwa, 50, of Katahari Rural Municipality-2 has alleged that the District Police Office did not file his complaint against the incident of beating.
The victim was beaten by Uchitlal Sah, 65, and his son Ajay Sah, 35, of Katahari Rural Municipality-3 on June 13. On June 17, the victim had gone to the District Police Office for justice but he said that the police did not register his complaint against the accused.
According to the victim, the accused had beaten him on June 13 over an old dispute. Karwa has sustained head injuries due to the beating.
The victim was treated at Golden Hospital on the same day. In a press conference held on June 20, the victim told that he had sustained serious head injuries and had six stitches.
DSP Man Bahadur Rai of the District Police Office Morang said that no complaint has been filed by the victim. In a phone conversation with INSEC Representative, DSP Rai said, “If there is any complaint, the police will definitely register it.’’
The victim Sanjay Kumar Karuwa informed that the police had pressured him to reconcile the issue instead of registering a complaint.
According to Karwa, he feels insecure as the police did not lodge a complaint against him.
