On May 3, 2021, the Ministry of Home Affairs has implemented a full and partial on 45 districts.
The cabinet meeting held on April 26, 2021, had decided that the Chief District Officer could issue a prohibitory order if there are more than 500 active infected people in Kathmandu Valley and Terai districts and more than 200 active in hilly and mountainous districts.
After the cabinet meeting gave the authority to issue prohibition for 15-days to the District level COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre, various districts have issued a prohibition on the basis of it.
