A complaint was filed against 34-year-old Suman Pandey of Khandwari Municipality-8 at the District Police Office on April 11, 2021, for raping a 14-year-old girl.
According to DSP Nawaraj Malla of the District Police Office, the victim was raped on October 31, 2020.
According to DSP Malla, the accused had absconded immediately after the incident and a search for the accused was started on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim.
The girl has been examined at the District Hospital on April 11.
Shekhar Khatri, information officer of the district hospital, said that the girl was seven months pregnant during the health check-up.
According to DSP Malla, the victim lodged a complaint against the accused only after a medical examination.
