Sumji Tamang, 39, of Helambu Rural Municipality-1 has been beaten to death by her husband Furchewang Tamang, 39, on March 24 while he was hiding in the local forest.
According to DSP Prakash Sapkota of the District Police Office, the accused had killed his wife by brutally beating her on March 21 and had dumped her body in the local Community Forest.
According to DSP Sapkota, the victim’s son had lodged a complaint against the accused at the Area Police Office, Helambu on March 22.
According to DSP Sapkota, the body was cremated by the relatives after the postmortem from the Melamchi Primary Health Centre on March 22.
