Police have arrested Lal Bahadur Khatri, 47, of Resunga Municipality-3 on March 1 on the charge of killing Samjhana Bohara, 21, of Resunga Municipality-3.
According to DSP Purushottam Prasad Pandey of the District Police Office, the investigation into the murder of the accused on February 11 has been opened.
The body was found dumped in a bag 150 meters below the house 19 days after the death. Ganesh Khatri, 59, father-in-law of the deceased had lodged a complaint at the District Police Office on March 2.
The incident became more mysterious after 52-year-old Topkala Khatri’s mother-in-law committed suicide on February 14, three days after Samjhana went missing.
The body had been kept at Gulmi Hospital for three days as the family refused to pick up the body until the culprit was made public.
The family of the deceased has received the body after the police made the accused public. The postmortem of the body was done at Gulmi Hospital, Tamghas on March 2.
