Police have arrested Jeevan Nepali, 21, of Khelung in Madi, Ashish Bhujel, 26, of Tamaghat in Kavre, and Anju Gurung, 30, of Bagaletol in Pokhara on charges of physically and mentally abusing 17- and 19-year-old girls for foreign employment.
DSP Subash Hamal of the District Police Office, Kaski told the INSEC representative that the accused were arrested on the charge of trying to send the victims for foreign employment and bring them from the Myadi district to Pokhara for prostitution.
He said that two accused Jeevan Nepali and Ashish Bhujel were arrested from Pokhara Lakeside on November 10 and Anju Gurung was arrested from Pokhara Lakeside on November 11.
The victims have been rescued from Pokhara Metropolitan City-6 Lakeside and kept in a protection centre in Pokhara after psycho-counseling.
