Police have arrested Najam Ansari aka Niraj Sharma, 35, of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan-1, Sunsari on October 8, on the charge of raping a 23-year-old woman.
The victim had lodged a complaint against the accused at the Area Police Office, Belbari on January 26, 2020, accusing him of raping the victim. She was raped on January 25, 2020.
According to Inspector Rishi Raj Dhakal, the accused was arrested from his house at Itahari Sub-Metropolitan-1 immediately after the victim’s complaint.
The victim was examined at Koshi Hospital on January 26, 2020.
