The victim has lodged a complaint against Basanta Bohara, 25, of Godavari Municipality-4 at the District Police Office, Kailali on September 29 for attempting to rape a 30-year-old woman.
DSP Pratik Bista of the District Police Office, Kailali said that search for the absconding accused was underway.
Ward Chairperson of Godavari Municipality Ward No. 4 Prem Bhandari said that the victim had lodged a complaint with the police as the accused was absconding.
According to police, the victim was taken to Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi on September 25.
