Police have arrested Dayaram Chaudhary, 28, of Lahan Municipality-15 on September 26 on charges of raping a 24-year-old woman.
According to the victim, the accused has been raping the victim since December 2, 2019, and gave birth to a child a month ago.
The victim told the INSEC representative that she had lodged a complaint against the accused at the Area Police Office, Lahan on September 27.
According to DSP Sarat Kumar Thapa Chhetri of Area Police Office, Lahan, the accused has been arrested and action has been taken against him.
The victim has been examined at Ram Kumar Umaprasad Hospital in Lahan on September 27.
