District Police Office, Siraha, have arrested Dhiraj Das, 20 and his mother Rajkumari Das, 35, on August 14 at 10 pm on the charge of murdering Kakulati Devi Das, 19, of Siraha Municipality-16.
The accused are the husband and mother-in-law of the victim. According to the victim’s father, the accused had beaten and killed her three-month-pregnant daughter on August 11.
Father of the deceased Chandar Das informed INSEC’s representative that he came to know about the incident after being informed by a neighbour on August 14. The complaint was filed after receiving the post-mortem report.
According to DSP Binod Ghimire of the District Police Office, Siraha, although the incident was suspicious, the post-mortem report revealed much information after which arrested the accused.
The post-mortem of the body was conducted at the District Hospital, Siraha on August 12.
