Police have arrested Sandeep Thakulla (18), Dipak Buda (21), Dambar Thakulla (19) and Dipak Thakulla (20) of Tikapur municipality-1 on 9 June in accusation of raping two girls of 14 years and one of 15 years of age.
This is the case of gang rape where the accused had absconded after the incident. After receiving the information about the incident, a team of Police officers from the Area Police Office started investigating and arrested them from Tikapur’s Ranijamara Cannon Plant’s bank. They were later taken to the District Police office, informed DSP Manohar Prasad Bhatta.
The District Police Office has added seven more days for the investigation, informed DSP Pratik Bista.
A health checkup of the victims was conducted at the Tikapur Hospital on 9 June 2020.
