Police have arrested Dipendra Chaurasia (22) of Kalikamai Rural Municipality-3 Hairharpurbirta on 1 May 2020 in accusation of rape on a 14-year-old girl. A case of rape has been filed against him at the District Police Office, Parsa.
The victim was raped on 1 May and he was caught and handed over to the Area Police Office by the locals. They had beaten him before taking him to the police.
Demonstrations were done after Chaurasia was arrested. On 2 May, Chaurasia was brought to District Police Office. In the investigation, Chaurasia denied his deeds but the health checkup of the girl proved him guilty, informed the spokesperson of the police, DSP Birendra Shahi.
Those men who had beaten Chaurasia are under the custody of District Police Office.
