Government of Nepal has prolonged the nationwide lockdown till 7 April 2020 to control the spread of Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19). In a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on 29 March, they decided to extend the lockdown till midnight of 25 April.
On 23 March, the disease was seen on second person leading the Higher Coordination Committee to declare a lockdown from 24 March to 31 March.
Similarly, Government has declared a relief package to the ones impacted from Corona Virus. Meeting of the Council of Ministers has decided to give 25% discount those who consume up to 150 units of electricity for the month of March and April.
Nepal Food Corporation has decided on giving discount of 10% on food grains sold by them informed government’s spokesperson Dr. Yubraj Khatiwada.
Till 29 March’s 9pm, total 31,882 have died due to Covid-19, 681,706 have been infected whereas 145,696 have recovered.
