Seven were given imprisonment of nine years’ for abducting a 13 year old. The bench of Justice Radha Krishna Uprety declared the sentence on 5 March 2020. They were also fined Rs. 50,000 each.
The accused are- Jasira Khatun (24) Satar Ansari Miya, Muktar Ansari (30), Dilshad Alam Ansari (23), Saratun Khatun (26), Amina Khatun (26), Hafaz Miya Jat (27) of Hari Nagar Rural Municipality. They had abducted the victim from home on 31 December 2019 and complaint was filed against them on 3 January 2020.
They were arrested on 3 January 2020 and a case of abduction was filed against them on 5 January 2020. After 11th trial, they were proven guilty.
