The District Court of Lalitpur has ordered to sentence 50 years old Shyam Krishna Maharjan of Lalitpur Metropolis-20, Natol for six months after finding him guilty on sexually abusing 17 years old girl. The court had also ordered penalty of Rs 5,000 to the convict.
A single bench of District Court judge Dr Ramesh Prasad Rijal had given the verdict regarding the case on April 28.
The convict had sexually abused the victim on March 19 and complaint against him was lodged by the victim’s family at Metropolitan police circle Lalitpur on a same day.
He was arrested on a same day by the police and was in custody for investigation. She underwent health checkup at Patan Hospital on a same day. The court has also ordered for the compensation of Rs 100,000 from the convict to the victim.
