The health posts under Surkegadh Rural Municipality-6 is facing crisis after there are no staffs and medicines. The patients are facing severe crisis as their right to health has been violated.
The health post is facing crisis since four months and locals are facing difficulties in treating even a minor ailment.
Local Purna Bahadur Buda said that there is no use of putting health post if there are no doctors and medicine. He added that locals are fetching some herbs from the jungle to treat their ailment.
Another local Bhakta Rak Aidi said that patients are compelled to walk for three days to reach district headquarter to get treatment.
He added that they are compelled to pay high price to purchase medicine despite of having low financial status.
The health post does not even have minor medicine such as Citamol, Brufin. Locals are deprived of even getting treatment on minor ailment such as seasonal flu.
The health post has a post for six health professionals however there is only one office helper operating the health post.
Chief doctor Durga Surkhali of District Hospital said that locals are compelled to go to the medical paying a high price.
