The District Court of Panchthar has ordered to sentence 50 years old Khud Bahadur Gurung of Suryodaya Municipality-6 for 15 years after finding guilty on raping 12 years old girl.
A single bench of District Court judge Manoj KC had given the verdict regarding the case. The court has also ordered to compensate victim for Rs 50,000.
The accused had raped the girl on September 18 and complaint against him was lodged at DPO on September 21.
On a same day she underwent health checkup at District Hospital. On September 22 he was arrested by the police and was remanded in custody since October 8 by the court order.
