The person having disability in the district are deprived from the services and facilities provided by the government as it fails to distribute Disability Identity Cards. They complained of not even having their identity in the society.
Locals level are given responsibility to distribute ID cards however none of the local levels of the district have distributed the cards to the person with disability.
Mahendra Pariyar , 24 of Chatra Dev Rural Municipality is deprived from services and facilities of the state that he is entitled for, as local level failed to provide him ID card.
He lodged application two years ago at Women and Children Service Center for the card but still he is not able to receive one.
Similar situation is for 22-year-old Bishnu Bhatt of Sitganga Municipality-1. He is deprived of getting monthly allowances, transportation allowance as he does not have a disability Id card.
Sita Ghimire, 21 of Padini Rural municipality could not get services and facilities in school as she does not have a disability Id card.
Vice mayor Tika Regmi of Sitganga Municipality said that the process of distributing Id cards are in a final stage and will be distributed very soon.
There is a legal provision of distributing such cards after getting approval from village assembly.
