The District Court of Udayapur has ordered to sentence 66 years old Janak Rai of Chaudandigadhi Municipality-4 for 10 years after finding him guilty on raping 25 years old intellectually unable woman.
A single bench of District Court judge Tejendra Prasad Sharma Sapkota had given the verdict on November 4.
The victim’s party had lodged complaint against the accused at Area Police Office of Beltar on May 4 on charge of rape on May 3.
The victim underwent health checkup at District Hospital of Bokse on MAy 4. On a same day the accused Rai was arrested and was remanded in custody by the court order on May 28.
