The health posts at Sarkegadh Rural Municipality has been closed for the last two months after the health workers in this municipality have been transferred to other places.
The health department had transferred 24 ANM, four AHW and three HA without finding any alternatives resulting the closure of five health posts for the last two months. This has created difficulties among the beneficiaries affecting the services.
Ward chairman Karnajung Shahi of ward five said that the health posts are closed after the transfer of all health professionals.
Patients are compelled to go to the neighboring Sanya health post by walking for four hours according to ward chair Shahi.
Doctor Tashi Lama of District Hospital said that 17 ANM, four AHW and three HA are transferred from the health post and sub health post of the district from the last one and half month.
