The District Court of Sankhuwasabha has ordered to sentence 38 years old Ganesh Khatri of Chainpur Municipality-3 for two and half years after finding him guilty om attempting to rape 22 years old woman.
A single bench of District Court judge Prakash Raut had given the verdict on October 4 regarding the case.
The convict had attempted to rape a victim on July 20 and complaint was lodged on a same day at Area Police Office of Chainpur.
The victim underwent health checkup at Primary Health Center of Chainpur on July 20 according to the police. The convict was arrested on next day by the police.
