The District Court of Udayapur has ordered to sentence five boys on charge of gang raping 14 years old girl.
A single bench of District Court judge Tejendra Prasad Sharma ordered to sentence four boys aged above 16 and under 18 for 10years six months. Similarly, one 15 years old boy was sentenced for seven years where as another 17 years old boy is at large and his case is pending.
The court has also ordered for compensation of Rs 2,00,000 from the convicts to the victim. Convicts under 18 years will be send to the child improvement center according to the court source.
The victim was gang raped by the convicts in 2017 August 31 at Katari Municipality-4 and complaint was lodged at Area Police Office on September 1 by the victim’s family.
On a same day the victim underwent a health checkup at Katari Hospital.The court had ordered to remand them in custody on October 23, 2017 and underage accused were sent to child improvement centre.
