Fundamental rights cannot be protected until state becomes strong: Chief Minister Pokhrel

The constitutional day has been observed in province 5 temporary capital Butwal on September 19 with various programs presented by the different cultures.

Speaking at the program, chief minister Shanker Pokhrel of province 5 said that the democratic practice adopted by Nepal was possible only by the long struggle and sacrifice from Nepali people and added that constitution has formally institutionalized the federal democratic Republic.

He said ” after the issuance of new constitution from the historical constitutional assembly we are in a phase in practical implementation of federal democratic republic.” During the program he said that the fundamental rights of people can only be protected if the state becomes strong.
