The District Court of Panchthar has ordered to sentence 52 years old acquaintance for 10 years on September 11 after finding him guilty on raping 17 years old girl.
A single bench of District Court judge Manoj KC had given the verdict regarding the case. The court has also ordered for the compensation of Rs 100,000 to the victim.
The accused was charged of raping a girl on April 2 and complaint was lodged at police office on June 19. She underwent health checkup at District Hospital on a same day.
The accused was immediately arrested after the complaint was made and was remanded in custody since July 5.
