Chisdhunga Rural Municipality has enforced education act-2018 on May 10 following its implementation.
Out of eight local levels issuing education act, Chisdhunga has become the first one to issue this act in the whole district. Other Rural Municipalities and Municipalities have not enforced this act yet. Rural municipality chairperson Nishant Sharma said that the act was enforced as per the norms of the constitution.
The act has mad English medium compulsory up to the elementary level. This act has prioritized internal appointment of teachers and their recruitment according to executive director Subash Paudel of Rural Municipality. According to him, the regulation is being discussed in present committee which will also provision regulation regarding fees.
Meanwhile, for the effective implementation and reforming the education, there are lack of staffs in education branch creating problem on creative education improvement according to Sharma. The lack of staffs in education branch is delaying the operational work. The Rural Municipality has also demanded the adjustment committee for the management of staffs.
