Police have arrested 41 years old Kumar Shahi of Thulibheri Municipality-7 on May 7 on charge of attacking and injuring his 32 years old wife Bisara Rokaya with a sharp weapon for not giving birth to a baby boy.
The victim complained that she was expelled from the house after attacking her with a Sharpe weapon by the accused on charge of not giving birth to a boy. She sustained temple and head injuries and receiving treatment at local medical at Juphal according to DSP Hari Prasad Sharma.
The victim had lodged compliant at police post of Juphal on May 5 against the accused demanding the action against him. She said that she was tortured by the accused previously by hitting her with beer bottle.
The accused was arrested after the incident could not be settled in an agreement.
