The locals of Mandabi Rural Municipality-5 Tigra and Salghari of Pyuthan Municipality-1 have accused Nepali Congress cadres of distributing solar lights against election code of conduct.
Local Kaushalya Giri of Mandabi Rural municipality-5 said that solar has been installed in houses asking for the votes for Congress. The solar lights have been installed in nine houses according to locals.
Staff from alternative energy promotion center, Rajan Acharya said that the solar was installed at his own cost however locals accused that his brother is asking vote for Nepali Congress candidate Dr Govinda Raj Pokhrel and installing the solar light.
According to the election code of conduct, none of the political parties are allowed to do such things which can influence the voters. Nepali Congress candidate Dr Govinda Raj Pokhrel is a former chief of Alternative Energy Promotion Center.
