Police have arrested Niraj Sharma, 39, of Biratnagar Sub-Metropolitan-17, Morang District, on September 27, 2021, on the charge of raping a 38-year-old woman.
According to DSP Min Bahadur Lama of the Metropolitan Police Circle, New Baneshwor, the victim had lodged a complaint on the same day.
According to DSP Lama, the accused’s wife Nitu Sharma has also been arrested on the basis of her involvement in the incident.
The health examination of the victim has been conducted at Thapathali Maternity Home on September 28.
