The District Public health Office of Humla said that 773 children under five are suffering from acute malnutrition. The major reason behind the malnutrition is due to not consuming local product and child marriage.
Chief Dr Smriti Mahat of District Public Health said that 773 children out of 5,784 in the district are suffering acute mal nutrition. The District Public health office said that 62% boys and 38% girls are suffering from the malnutrition.
In the district most of the children from Tamang community are facing from the malnutrition according to the study .According to the District coordinator Dinesh Bam of nutrition program in Tajakot Village council, 212 children under five years old , 145 children in Adanchuli village council, 94 in Simkot, 72 in Chankheli are facing malnutrition.
The another reason behind the malnutrition is due to the lack of personal hygiene according to one study.
