The eye ailment among the children has spread in the district after the crunch in the medicine. Along with the change in weather, the diseases have been spread among the children in all seven village councils.
At present, in each ward 10 to 15 children are facing with this disease according to the locals. Locals said that the disease has spread after the crunch in medicine in health posts. There are not even Citamol tablets in the health post according to the locals.
The District Health Office said that the medicine could not be transported to some of the health posts of the district.
Executive Director Smriti Mahat of District Public Health Office said that the shortage of medicine is due to the lack of supply as per demand.
