Candidate dies in a police firing

Dhanrup Batala, 39 , a ward candidate from RPP died on May 15 after he was injured in a bullet fire by a security personnel at Nanda Devi Secondary School  Serapata polling centre on May 14 in Narahari Village council-7.

Police had fired a bullet after the cadres of Nepal Communist Party attempted to capture the booth according to CDO Giridhari Subedi.

According to Subedi, the cadres of Nepal Communist party started to pelt stones before setting fire on ballot box. The security personel fired a bullet in retaliation.

In a same incident, 45 years old Byasi BK, 30 years old Dan Bahadur Batala and 32 years old Kul Man Batal were injured. The injured are rushed to the hospital in Nepalgunj.

The body of the deceased has been to District Hospital of Manma for postmortem according to DSP Yogendra Khadka. The election has been postponed according to CDO Subedi.
