Complaint lodged against three cases of violation of code of conduct

The office of the chief election officer said that there has been three cases of violation of code of conduct registered.

Chief election officer Durga bahadur Bhushal said that the office has been receiving complaints via various means. The meeting held in Khalanga on May 8, stakeholders urged the political parties to minimize the incident of violation of code of conduct.

The political parties have been using children in their election campaign and  government officials promoting party openly against the election code of conduct. At present most of the political parties of the district are using T-shirt and cap in their election campaign.

CDO Bashu Prasad Koirala said that the process of gathering information from various medium is going on. He added that the parties will be charged if found guilty of violating election code of conduct.

However, the political parties of the district said that they are aware and committed to follow election code of conduct.

District election officer Tulsi Ram Pandey urged all the political parties to follow the code of conduct.
